Besides portraying people in ancient styles Zigge Holmgren makes informal pieces that depict fragments of nature's
perfection.
When synthesised with mural surfaces the pictures are reduced into organic
patterns. The style is romantic and decorative and with a longing for
purity of mind like an icon. Like images from a child's picture book,
for grown-ups. The concept is an attempt to reconstruct a random process where perfection is built upon pure chance... A fantasy around the “non-image”, to find the code between the small print of nature.
